I'm currently studying postcolonial literature, focusing on the use of language in New Zealand writing, and my dissertation will be on the link between archaeology and crime fiction. I have enjoyed all aspects of the course so far!
I wish I'd been told that everyone reaches a point where they feel as if they can't answer the question. It doesn't matter if you don't have a response for everything as long as you remain calm and remember that the interviewers aren't expecting you to know every answer.
My main extra-curricular interests are drama and creative writing. In First Year I was in the Worcester College Garden Play, 'Much Ado About Nothing', and last year I acted in university-wide productions of 'Top Girls' and 'Little Eyolf'. I'm also the Editor of Oxford University Poetry Society's magazine, the ASH, and Deputy Features Editor for The Oxford Student.
I have tutored three Year 11 students in English Language and Literature, all of whom gained 8 and 9 grades in their GCSEs.
